The Universities Scheme
The objective of the Scheme is to establish and/or enhance arrangements and opportunities for undergraduates, postgraduates and other university members to enjoy Freemasonry. The President of the Scheme is the Assistant Grand Master, R W Bro. David Williamson.
In the Province of Northumberland, there are two Lodges participating in the Scheme. Hotspur Lodge No. 1626 is associated with Newcastle University and similarly Duke of Connaught Lodge No. 3892 is connected with Northumbria University. W Bro. John Chan PSGD, Past AProvGM is the Provincial Liaison Officer for the Scheme for the Province.
